Dr. Andrew Fowler was born & raised in Santa Fe, New Mexico. He moved to Colorado to attend Colorado State University, meeting his wife as an undergraduate, and completing his bachelor’s degree in Zoology. He then earned his doctorate in medicine from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver in 1990. Next, he completed internship and residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas in 1994. He subsequently served as a physician in the US Army for eight years. Andrew served as Chief of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center. He obtained board certification in 1996 and is a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
After completing his Army service, Andrew began private practice in Colorado Springs in 1998, establishing Blue Skies Center for Women, along with his wife, Dr. Stephanie Fowler. Andrew has since served as Chief of the OB/GYN Section at Memorial Hospital and remains actively involved with many key committees at the hospital.
Outside of his work, Andrew enjoys training for triathlons and marathons. He has competed in dozens of triathlons and several marathons, including the Boston Marathon. He also enjoys woodworking and riding motorcycles or skiing with his family.
